Welcome to the NDDAA Website!

Greetings from the North Dakota Dental Assistants Association

   Hello,

Hope things are going well all across the state, here in Bismarck/Mandan life is busy but at least we don’t have a ton of snow yet.

I am looking forward to the Midwinter meeting in Fargo. The NDDA has a terrific speaker lined up for us. Dr. John Svirsky will speak on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Ramada Plaza Suites. I hope you can all attend this session entitled Oral Pathology for the Joy of it: You are the Object of my Infection. Registration forms are on the NDDA website.

Please remember that you should have either taken the jurisprudence test on the NDBOE website or have 2 continuing education credits in order to follow the new guidelines set forth by the NDBOE. The NDDAA will be having a speaker at the annual session in order to help us get the right amount of credits for all that we need for continuing education.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the current board members for all their hard work. I would also like to extend an invitation to all of you out there to become a member of our board. This would give you the chance to be involved and have a say in the speakers and topics that we listen to at the annual session. What a terrific way to give back to the dental assisting profession. We have a lot of the same faces on our board and for those people we are so blessed that they have been willing to take on the commitment time and time again. I know in the upcoming years we have several people who would like to move on to new phases in their lives. The only way any of us are able to do that is if we have people who are willing to take the leap and join the board. It is a lot of fun and I have made some friends that will last a lifetime.  If you have any questions please feel free to talk to any of the board members.

Happy Holidays!

Dental Assistants- Who Are We and What Does It Mean To You

If you are a dental assistant, work in the state of North Dakota, and do expanded functions, you must be registered with the North Dakota Board of Dental Examiners. If you are a certified dental assistant, by Dental Assisting National Board, you must be registered of the ND board of dental examiners.

Like many of you, dental assistants in our state have worked long and hard to achieve the credential of a certified dental assistant. A registered dental assistant holds a certificate of registration that has been issued by the ND board of dental examiners.

The ADAA Statement of Professional Commitment
